A brand new image

St Michael’s is a community and youth centre, it required a new image to shake off old negative associations from the past. The new centre is run by two churches, Christ Church and St Matthew’s Church with leaders and volunteers recruited from both. The new image presents a positive concept of local people working together and having fun. Shown below are some background research, concept developments and the final logos.

Celebrating an iconic figure - student project

Communication designers use many types of diagrammatic representation to visualise data and information, including timelines, storyboards, maps, flow charts, organisation charts, cartographic diagrams and decorative maps. For this project the students were asked to create a concept for a diagram to illustrate ‘the life and times’ of someone they admired.
